Faith is one of my oldest characters, not as old as a couple others, but one of the oldest. She's been someone that's gone through several, several revisions. She originally was black feathered, had a blindfold and a couple cloths wrapped around her chest and lower half, making her look a little ragged. The blindfold however, has always been a core feature OF Faith since the beginning. If the silly wordplay... -flew- over your head or you didn't know, she's based on the phrase of "blind faith." While being built from that silly phrase, Faith's grown a lot as a character over the years, and I'm very proud of how she's come out.
When making Faith, I actually didn't have any kind of bird in mind when designing her. Though afterwards I did think about what kind of Bird Faith would be, and I thought about both a Hawk or Pelican for Faith, but I decided no on both. She's a bird, no clue on what kind. Though maybe someday I'll decide what kinda bird Faith would be, but that's not too important in my honest opinion.
